The Guniuhe Grand Bridge, a key project of the Anpan Expressway, has entered a critical new phase.

As of October 2025, construction has progressed to the bridge deck installation stage, following the successful stabilization of the 520-meter upper-bearing steel box truss arch.
Spanning a deep V-shaped canyon in Guizhou, the bridge stands approximately 400 meters above the valley floor. With a total length of 881.8 meters, it ranks second in the world among bridges of the same structural type.

古牛河特大桥位于贵州安盘高速，全长881.8米，主跨520米，为世界第二大上承式钢桁拱桥。桥面距谷底约400米，采用全钢结构，总重量约3.1万吨，共88个拱肋节段。2025年10月进入桥面施工阶段，工程难度与精度要求极高，展现中国桥梁工程实力。

This stage involves:
• deck segment erection
• high-altitude alignment control
• stress adjustment of the arch–deck system
• precision work on temporary crown towers and gantries

BUILT entirely with steel, the bridge weighs about 31,000 tons and is composed of 88 steel truss arch segments, the heaviest reaching 283.3 tons. All major components are installed using a support-free cable hoisting system, making this one of the most challenging bridge projects in China.

This aerial footage captures fearless engineers working hundreds of meters above the canyon, showcasing why Guizhou is known as the kingdom of bridges and why Chinese bridge engineering leads the world.
