In the early days, if you wanted to take advantage of the power of a channel ecosystem, you had to be an enterprise size software provider. If you were a small vendor, your only real option was to join the enterprise software ecosystem as an ISV partner. The costs of setting up, managing, and scaling a channel ecosystem were high, and not all partners were the right fit. ISV partnerships often come with added costs and unique challenges of their own. Such as, visibility of solutions offered to partners, the need to develop co-branded marketing and sales assets for partners, and scaling within that third party ecosystem are a few of the challenges that remain.

Gorilla knows these challenges first hand. For the past 28 years, we have been working with vendors to develop, enable, scale, and manage channel ecosystems. We have witnessed technology and the sheer amount of software vendors explode around channel ecosystems. It is now easier than ever for mid-size and start-up software vendors to develop assets and set up channel ecosystems at many levels of product maturity. From initial sales and go to market strategy, to hybrid models that are designed to build revenue and provide visibility in the marketplace, channel ecosystems are no longer just for the billion dollar revenue vendors. Now, channel ecosystems are open to every company as a way to maximize revenue and build a solid standing in the market at any level.
