With all of the changes coming to online search, is SEO dead in 2024?

I dive into my thoughts on the matter in this video.

In a nutshell, businesses will continue to rely on professional SEOs and marketers to ensure their digital presence drives business results - whether that’s appearing on AI searches, staying consistent on social media, and ensuring websites deliver a great UX and convert visitors to customers.

1 - AI can’t actually use/experience a business firsthand, it will always depend on analyzing ranking factors. Any AI powered search for local businesses will require a human optimizing for those factors.

2 - For many topics, users want to know a human expert wrote/reviewed the content.

3 - SEO is so much more than blogging and creating content, especially for local SEO.

4 - Job security-wise, as an agency, we are paid to get results for clients. We will adapt and change our methods based on the evolution of online search with our mission to increase client revenue.

5 - Google doesn’t want to jeopardize its ad revenue. Fundamentally, there will always be real estate for ads. Google needs to give users a reason not to just ChatGPT their results.
