The Five Points of Life program is the only program world wide that combines all lifesaving donations (blood, apheresis, organ/tissue, cord blood and marrow). It started as an awareness raising cross country bike ride in 1997 and has since grown in to an international program. Subsequent rides have occurred in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008 with rides also occurring in South Africa.

In 200...6, the program expanded to include a Race Weekend in Gainesville, Florida. It began with only a marathon and half marathon but now includes a Kids Marathon as well as a 5K.

By donating your time or financially you can help save lives. Go to your local blood bank to donate blood or platelets. Tell your family you want to be an organ and tissue donor when the time comes. If you are an expecting mom donate your baby's cord blood at no cost to you. Sign up to be on the National Marrow Registry to be a potential marrow match for a leukemia patient. Or give financially to help us educate the public on the need for donations.
