This is something I never thought I'd see, but am so happy is an actual thing! Portugal as a fully playable faction in Total War Shogun 2, and it feels just awesome. Even though I love Shogun 2's campaign, I always wanted a bit more spice to it since, let's be frank, the factions here can start to feel a bit samey after a few hundred hours in the game. And what's better then, than to introduce an entirely new one, and one that feels and plays so differently?
Portugal is all about fire power, but still, you're not OP unless we're talking on the high seas, because Portugal begins with just one island city, and a tiny army.

It's up to you to take Portugal further, and to deliver Christianity and Western power to the Japans, or at the very least die trying. If you're like me and have been watching Shogun the TV show, and wanted to spice up your campaign a little, then this is the perfect mod for you, and you can find it right here.
