Texas Chicken Fried Steak Challenge w/ Raina Huang & Joel Hansen!!

A&Z #838 - Atlas vs The "Wolf It Down" Texas Chicken Fried Steak Challenge at Wolf Den Family Restaurant in Gainesville, Texas which is north of the Dallas / Fort Worth, TX area. We decided to kick off my 2020 food challenges on my 34th birthday which was June 24, 2020. I attempted 10 restaurant eating challenges around central Texas, mostly between the DFW area and Austin, Texas. For event #9, I traveled up to Gainesville, Texas where I attempted the "Wolf It Down" Texas Chicken Fried Steak Challenge at Wolf Den Family Restaurant. I met up with my friends Raina Huang, Joel Hansen, and Blaine, and we all attempted the chicken fried steak challenge together. We each had 20 short minutes to finish a whole lot of food. There was 4 big pieces of chicken fried steak, 3 scoops of creamy mashed potatoes, 2 vegetable sides, slices of Texas toast, and we each got a bowl of white pepper gravy. We were each trying to win our $30 meals free, sweet t-shirts, and spots on their Wolf Den Wall of Fame. HUGE thanks to the Wolf Den Family Restaurant ownership and staff for the great food and hospitality, plus the desserts they gave us afterwards!! BIG thanks also to everybody who came up to watch and meet us that early July evening, and thanks to everyone in Texas for watching and supporting our efforts!! "Wolf It Down" Chicken Fried Steak Challenge w/ Gravy in Gainesville, Texas!! ($30):

– 4 chicken fried steaks (each piece of meat weighs 6 oz before breading is added).
– 3 scoops of mashed potatoes or french fries plus 2 vegetable side dishes (your choice).
– All that is served with 2 slices of thick and delicious Texas toast.
– You are allowed 10 minutes to let your food cool down before time starts.
– You then have a short 20 minute time limit to “wolf it down.”
– Winners receive the meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and spot on Wolf Den's Wall of Fame!!
