This tutorial covers all of the bases for deleting duplicate values. I'll show you:

Deleting duplicate values is important for cleaning and consolidating data sets, especially for imported or copy/pasted data in Excel and so you can think of thiis tutorial as showing you another tool that you can keep for later and use to quickly analyze data as needed. You might not use this feature every day, but it's great when you need it.

Another way to view data sets without duplicates is to use a pivot table, which is not covered here, but can be helpful in many situations.

Note that if you remove duplicates using a macro, you cannot undo it using Ctrl + Z - the data will be deleted forever, so backup your data before you test out the macro. Deleting duplicate values using the built-in Excel features does allow you to undo it, which can be very useful.
