MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 3/4 inch flat bristle, #4 and #10 round synthetic
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, ultra marine blue, chrome yellow, fire red, green oxide, and burnt sienna (rust)
Other: chalk, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes
STEPS:
1. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat for canvas with rust
2. Chalk – Draw outline for bricks and rose
3. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint base coat for flower head, bricks and grout with white, rust, black, red, yellow, blue
4. #10 round brush – Finish grout with black, white, peach (made in step #3), red, blue
5. #10 round and 3/4 inch bristle brushes – Finish bricks with yellow, white, pink (made in step #3), blue, rust, tan (made in step #4), black, peach, red
6. #10 round brush – Paint base coat for leaves with green
7. #10 round brush – Paint 2nd step to leaves with green, yellow, white, blue
8. #4 round brush – Finish leaves with blue, green, light green (made in step #7), dark green (made in step #7), black, yellow, white, rust
9. #4 round brush - Start petals with pink, rust, white
10. #4 round brush - Finish petals and shadow under flower with black, rust, pink, white, yellow, red
11. #4 round brush - Sign with black
