Ylenia Carrisi comes from a prestigious household. Her mother Romina, is a famous singer as well as her father, Al Bano.

Her Grandfather, Tyrone Power, was also a famous actor from the 1930's to the 1950s.

It's no surprise that Ylenia jumped into the spotlight as an adult. She was dubbed the Italian "Vanna White" For her appearance on the Italian version of the show, "Wheel of Fortune."

However, Ylenia soon realized that she didn't want to be in the spotlight. In stead, she wanted to be a writer. She enrolled at Kings college in London to further her studies.

She decided she needed inspiration, so she went on a backpack tour to the Americas.

She fell in love when she landed in New Orleans and became enthralled with a man named Alexander, who played the trumpet.

She returned home, only to return and moved in a hotel with Alexander. She checked out July 16, 1994, but Alexander stayed behind.

The hotel manager became suspicious when he was spending travelers checks.

A few days later, a security guard said he saw a woman matching Ylenia's description, jump into the water saying " I belong in the water!"

He claims the woman began to panicked, and washed away in the water. He quickly called the police.

This was the last time someone may or may not have heard from Ylenia. She has not been seen or heard of, since January 6th, 1994.

Her father Al Bano, had her declared deceased in 2014.
