This pattern is now available in my Etsy shop, Skirt Pocket Studios: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SkirtPocket...

Recreating antique lace is an often overlooked side of historical fashion.
Whether you love making lace, want to recreate a small piece of history, or are looking for that "accurate" trim for a historical garment, let me walk you through my process of recreating antique bobbin lace, so that you can do it, too!

Here, in part 1, I'll walk you through the steps I take in recreating a pattern and pricking from an antique source. Then, in part 2, I'll show you how to make lace from the pattern.

Here is a link to my in-depth look into "The Greene Dress," an Edwardian Tea Dress. I show the materials, stitches, and techniques that went into making it.
