I've read that this method can really help increase the germination rate and seed sprouting percentage. I use a ziplock because it creates a Greenhouse Effect inside as long as you will keep the kitchen towel damp and providing it with enough light.

I have plenty of time at home because of quarantine and this gave me an idea to try growing my own plants from seeds using the paper towel method.

Before you try this, test your seeds viability first by putting them in a container of water. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes. If the seeds sink, they are still viable; if they float, they most likely will not sprout. This is not 100% accurate but this is what I usually do.
