Tired of your charger cables fraying and breaking? This video shows you a simple, effective DIY hack to fix and reinforce your mobile charger cable using just a plastic bottle cap and some silicone sealant. This quick and easy trick will protect the most vulnerable part of your cable and extend its life.

Prepare the Bottle Cap: A plastic bottle cap is used. A small slit or notch is cut into the side of the cap, large enough for the charger cable to pass through.

​Insert the Cable: The end of the mobile charger cable is inserted through the slit in the bottle cap so that the connector head is inside the cap.

​Apply Silicone: Silicone sealant or a similar adhesive/sealant is squeezed into the bottle cap, completely filling the space around the connector head and the cable.

​Cure and Use: The silicone is allowed to cure and harden. Once it has solidified, it creates a rigid, protective casing around the most vulnerable part of the charging cable, preventing it from bending or fraying at the connection point. The video shows the finished product being used to charge a phone.
