Langalbanda is a holy Hindu pilgrimage site located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River in Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj district, Bangladesh. Punyasnan is held on the eighth day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Chaitra. At this time, numerous pilgrims come here for a holy bath. According to legend, Parashuram Muni was freed from sins by bathing in this stream of Langalbanda. Pilgrims have been taking this Ashtami-Punyasnan for many years, remembering the liberation of Parashuram Muni from sins described in religious scriptures. It is believed that on the eighth day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Chaitra, the virtues of all the holy places in the world merge into the Brahmaputra River. While bathing in the Brahmaputra River, flowers, betel leaves, rice, Durva and offerings are offered to the ancestors.
#লাঙ্গলবান্দা# বাংলাদেশের নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলার সোনারগাঁও উপজেলায় #ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদীর# তীরে অবস্থিত একটি পবিত্র হিন্দু তীর্থস্থান। চৈত্র মাসের শুক্লপক্ষের অষ্টমী তিথিতে পুণ্যস্নান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এ সময় অসংখ্য পুণ্যার্থী এখানে পবিত্র স্নানের জন্য আসেন। কিংবদন্তি অনুসারে, লাঙ্গলবান্দার এই স্রোতে স্নান করে পরশুরাম মুনি পাপমুক্ত হয়েছিলেন। ধর্মগ্রন্থে বর্ণিত পরশুরাম মুনির পাপের মুক্তির কথা স্মরণ করে বহু বছর ধরে তীর্থযাত্রীরা এই #অষ্টমী-পুণ্যস্নান# করে আসছেন। বিশ্বাস করা হয় যে চৈত্র মাসের শুক্লপক্ষের অষ্টমী তিথিতে বিশ্বের সমস্ত পবিত্র স্থানের পুণ্য ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদীতে মিশে যায়। ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদীতে স্নান করার সময়, পূর্বপুরুষদের উদ্দেশ্যে ফুল, পান, চাল, দূর্বা এবং নৈবেদ্য নিবেদন করা হয়।
Ghats
