Choosing the Right Blocking Buffer
There are many factors to consider when deciding which blocking buffer to use for your experiment. These factors include the antigen of interest, the host species of the antibodies, the sample type, and many more.

An ideal blocking buffer will bind non specifically to the membrane and off-target proteins. It will eliminate background signal altogether without altering or obscuring the protein of interest for antibody binding.
