Offutt held its first airshow in six years. None were held because of runway reconstruction, a major flood in 2019, and COVID. The weekend of 24 Aug 2024 brought back the airshow and the Air Force Thunderbirds. Along with other military aircraft on static display. Yet it was disappointing that there were less than half the number of aircraft on display at the 2018 airshow.
The weather was wicked hot for the event, and it was reported 150 attendees were sickened on Saturday. I left the airshow at 1pm before the heat arrived.
