These are troubled times that do unwind, I seem to have misplaced my mind inside the bright blue haze of July
in a pile of letters I forgot to send, actions which I could not defend

Well I guess that they call this biding time
Just hanging round, trying to turn the useless day into night
which isn't much use to me either, it's just a little easier on the eyes

I wake up in the afternoon some days I cannot bring myself to face
the world outside my bedroom
So I'll sit in sickness and decay until my body cannot stay curled up inside the haunted, dead moon
But halfway through the first bottle of wine suddenly everything is fine
I know exactly what I must do
In the moonlight I will shed my skin
The whole thing will begin again
Both eyes gleaming
Spirit brand new

I guess that they call this biding time
