In today's video, I wanted to continue with my journey through the main questline, featured in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. For this part, the story kicks off with 2 quests from Queen Mother Mynisera. The first is to learn what became of the Emperor's Letter, as she never ended up receiving it. After tracking down Carolyn Yeomhart, Uriel Septim's courier, she says that the letter was delivered to the queen, who at the time, was Aubk-i. After that, I worked with Mynisera to track down the letter's current owner. King Gortwog of the orcs. After crawling through the Dungeon of Orsinium, I finally retrieved the letter. Reading it, it mentioned that the totem of Tiber Septim had been found, at that no one is safe. After some time, I recieve a letter from a Friend that explained what the Totem was. It's the Mantella, an artifact that's used to power the Numidium, a Dwemer creation that can dominate all of Tamriel. The Mantella was imbued with the Under King's life force. At this point, all of the factions and Kingdoms of the Iliac bay are vying for the Mantella. After that, I went ahead and performed some quests for Princess Elysana of Wayrest. The first had me delivering a cloak to Lord Castellian. This ended up being an assassination plot though, as when he put it on, he was slain by 3 Dark Seducers. Next, Elysana asked me to escort her cousin to a distant town. In return, the contact in said town would reveal information regarding the Totem. Well, this wasn't the case, and in fact, it was an assassination plot against me. However, it didn't work and now I know that I'm on the right course for discovering King Lysandus' true murderer.
