The February 6th Earthquake and its Societal Implications in Northwest Syria

"The February 6th Earthquake and its Societal Implications in Northwest Syria," is the title of a workshop the SYCAC Organization held in Gaziantep southern Turkey, in participation of several local and international organizations as well as donor organizations that played a fundamental role in responding to the disaster. The workshop aimed to shed light on the societal needs and issues stemming from the February 6 earthquake in Northwestern Syria, specifically in the regions of Northern Aleppo and Idlib. Moreover, it sought to amplify the understanding of the negative impacts of these issues, along with providing a set of relevant recommendations. The workshop also delved into discussing tools and possible intervention mechanisms to address these challenges, guided by early warning indicators concerning societal issues threatening the stability of communities in Northwestern Syria.
