Sera never wanted to be the true Primal of Life or the Queen of the Gods. She doesn’t hunger for power like most of the other Primals seem to do. That’s why it’s so hard for her to comprehend that she’s now the Queen of the Gods. It makes her feel completely unworthy and nervous, which, according to Nyktos, is normal for anyone in that role…except for Kolis. We highly doubt he felt nervous when he stole the embers of life from Eythos and became a Primal of Life. Nyktos’s ongoing support for Sera is why he’s the greenest of green flags when it comes to book boyfriends. He truly wants what’s best for her and constantly reminds her how worthy she is to him and everyone else in the Shadowlands. Additionally, we learn that Sera is technically a baby Primal, meaning she has to be very careful with how much of her essence she uses and needs to take the time to rest to replenish it.
