We love our Kitchen aid metal food grinder that attaches to our KitchenAid Stand Mixer.

The food grinder is easy to assemble as you just place the blade inside the main attachment, select the size grind you want, and screw that on. The metal attachment connects to the front of your kitchen aid stand mixer to use the power of the motor to run the metal food grinder attachment.

It comes with two different size sausage stuffer tubes, and three different size grinding plates, fine, medium and coarse. The food tray on top is larger than others and it comes with a plunger to help push the food you’re processing down as it runs.

We use ours for making our own ground meat as my husband is demonstrating. Once you’ve attached the food grinder, you’ll want to make sure that you’ve locked your stand mixer into place. It’s recommended that you use cold or semi-frozen food when grinding, so a tip that’s offered is to also Pre-chill the grinder in the refrigerator or freezer to maintain a cold grinding temperature for a neat and clean grind every time.

Once you’ve got the grinder and the mixer loaded and locked into place just turn it on and feed the meat, or whatever food you’re grinding through the opening and use the plunger to push it down. It’s really as simple as that to get home ground meat and foods.
