Sprint legend Usain Bolt says he has not received any of the money he purportedly lost in the multi-billion-dollar fraud at investment firm Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL).

In responding to the long-running rumours that he has remained silent on the matter because he has received his stolen funds, Bolt told “The Fix” podcast on Monday that there was no truth to such claims.

"And people, mi nuh get back mi money, so stop... If you know who I am, no matter wah gwaan inna mi life, you know say mi nuh say nutten 'bout it. I am always the person to make it float round till it leave," the retired sprinter shared.

On January 12, 2023, news broke that millions of dollars reportedly went missing from Bolt's account at SSL, which subsequently led to a multi-agency fraud probe that resulted in Jean-Ann Panton, a former wealth advisor at the firm, being the sole person to be charged so far.

The 100m and 200m world record holder said he doesn't believe Panton is the only person involved in the fraud.



CNN) Lawyers for eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt say more than $12.8 million is missing from his account with a Jamaican investment firm now under police and government investigation.

Jamaican law enforcement received complaints about alleged fraud at wealth management firm Stocks & Securities Ltd (SSL) on January 11, affecting accounts belonging to Bolt and others, Selvin Hay, Chief Technical Director of Jamaica’s Financial Investigations Division, told CNN.

Hay added that an investigation, currently in its early stages, is now being conducted by the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Fraud Squad and the Financial Investigations Division.
