Does ADHD medication actually work in the long run? For decades, stimulants have been the first-line treatment for Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, but the largest clinical trial ever conducted on the disorder reveals a startling trend.

This video examines the "Largest ADHD Medication Study" by the National Institute of Mental Health, a comprehensive "longitudinal study" that followed 579 children for eight years. Initially, stimulants like "methylphenidate" were seen as beneficial for "adhd treatment", but later results revealed that continued "medication for adhd" was associated with worse hyperactivity and delinquency. By the study's end, there were no significant differences in outcomes between children on "adhd meds" and those not receiving medication.
