THE TRIP TO JAPAN 日本 - Ep. 12, KABUKICHO 歌舞伎町

After seeing the Tokyo Dome and randomly hanging out at LaQua, we took the train and found ourselves at the one-and-only KABUKICHO. As you might already are aware, this is the "Red Light District" of Shinjuku, where crazy ass shit happens.

Historically, many Yakuza and other shady foos would hang out here and conduct business here. Recently though, it's more so a 21+ entertainment neighborhood with alcohol and food in every direction, kawaii maid/bunny girls vying for your attention, guys trying to get you into their bars, and fuckin Nigerian touts who CONSTANTLY harassed me and my cousin as we walked. Obviously, we ignored them and made our way away from them as fast as possible. It's think it's similar to the Las Vegas strip but not as aggressive.

Regardless, it was still AWESOME to walk it in person and I was really enjoying my night there. We did get drinks somewhere outside Kabukicho but still nearby, and we also saw some sweet cars driving by. I wouldn't take my family or my son there at night, but in the day time, it's actually pretty chill.
