The F-8SDI-3G-LOOP-TX/RX is an 8-channel 3G SDI fiber optic multiplexer designed to transport SDI signals over a single-mode fiber. With SDI loop-outs on the optical transmitter (TX) and dual outputs on the optical receiver, this device allows for the instant transmission of uncompressed SDI signals up to 3G 1080p/60Hz over a single-mode fiber, reaching distances of up to 20 km. The transmitter includes 8 SDI inputs with loop output, while the optical receiver provides dual outputs, allowing you to use one output while monitoring the second mirrored output.

The F-8SDI-3G-LOOP-TX/RX supports the following optical transport signals: 8 channels of HD/SD 3G-SDI signals over one single-mode fiber, 4 channels of 4K/UHD signals at 30 fps over one single-mode fiber, and 2 channels of 4K/UHD signals at 60 fps over one single-mode fiber.

Key features include CWDM optical multiplexing technology, where each SDI signal uses its own laser converted to a different optical wavelength. This device is compliant with SMPTE standards like ST 425-3, ST 425-5, 259M-2006, 292-2006, and 424M-2006, and supports the transmission of SMPTE 305M-2005, 310M-2004, and 344M-2000. It handles SDI signals with or without embedded audio and data, and the signal is equalized and re-clocked before fiber optic transmission. The receiver also features re-clocked SDI outputs.

The system supports pathological patterns over the entire link budget and works with single-mode fiber up to 20 km. It supports 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs with or without embedded audio and data, and 4K/UHD resolutions up to 60 fps. The device has a 21 dB optical link budget at 2.97 Gbps for high power, long-distance versions, with both standard and high-powered transmitter options available. It comes in a 1RU 19" rackmount version for easy installation.
