Thanks for watching. Catching this fish was a once in a lifetime experience for us and we were so grateful to be able to have this adventure together.
Obviously, some improvements could have been made both for our safety and for the well-being of the fish. However, a halibut this size can have muscle spasms for up to forty minutes after death. The fish was shot twice and stabbed a lot in the brain, and even though it doesn’t look like it, it was most likely brain dead after the stabbing.
If you wanna go for a halibut yourself, you can probably learn some do’s and a lot of don’ts from this video.
