Mbbs in Philippines| Clerkship Vs Internship|Know real course duration

This video provides you more information showing difference between clerkship in Philippines and internship. The clerkship done during the 4th year of MD program in Philippines cannot be termed as internship. Rajasthan Medical Council has already denied the acceptance of this clerkship as internship which has been shared in one of my previous videos. In the latest meeting held by Delhi Medical Council on 11/12/2021 (11th November 2021) and the notification updated by them on the website on 18/11/2021 (18th November 2021), states that there are two types of internship, one the pre-qualification clerkship and other the post qualification clerkship.

The one during the 4th year of MBBS in Philippines, is pre-qualification clerkship and is not the internship. The clerkship is not valid in India and hence the student needs to undergo internship of 12 months to get permanent registration in India. This rule is applicable to all students who have taken admission for MBBS in Philippines.

The actual course duration for MBBS in Philippines is BS- 2 years (according to CHED)
MD-4 years
Internship in Philippines- 1 year
Internship in India- 1 year (after qualifying NEXT 1)
