Maratha Quota Protest Today: A massive Maratha quota protest led by activist Manoj Jarange reached Mumbai’s Azad Maidan, with thousands marching in saffron and heavy police deployment across the city. Jarange has launched an indefinite hunger strike, demanding Maratha reservation under the OBC quota. The protest has caused traffic jams near Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and crowded platforms as demonstrators poured into Mumbai. The BJP has accused Jarange of working at the behest of Sharad Pawar’s NCP faction, but the activist has warned the state government of serious consequences if demands are not met.
