First Exit steam

Follow these instructions:
Press Cmd-Shift-K from the Whisky app or go to File -- Kill All Bottles.
Now right click on steam and select config in the arguments section add the first arguments:

-forcesteamupdate -forcepackagedownload -overridepackageurl http://web.archive.org/web/2025030619... -exitsteam

Then click run


Steam will start updating and reinstall a previous Steam version, wait until it completes then open whisky again and Replace the arguments you added with the following arguments:

-noverifyfiles -nobootstrapupdate -skipinitialbootstrap -norepairfiles -overridepackageurl


Click the Run button again. It should work. If it still doesn’t work, then create a new bottle and reinstall Steam there. You can delete your old bottle if you don’t need it anymore
