Discord hits BTS agency Hybe's shares, as subsidiary feud festers

Hybe, the parent company of K-pop sensation BTS, has seen its stock drop by 11% since a feud with one of its subsidiaries, Ador, sparked a new risk to its ownership of several music labels. Hybe accused Ador's chief executive, Min Hee Jin, of plotting to go independent, leaking classified company material, and stirring negative public sentiment towards Hybe's artists. Min denied allegations and said the parent company was retaliating against her for filing internal complaints that it and another label copied her ideas for a new girl group, ILLIT. Hybe holds an 80% stake in Ador and Min has 18%. Analysts say Hybe's fundamentals remain intact, but the internal strife has raised questions over the K-pop giant's ownership of several music labels.
