About the FlyOver:
Traffic snarls at three important junctions in the city’s bustling IT corridor are all set to become history once construction of the much-awaited multi-level unidirectional flyover at Botanical Garden, crossing Kothaguda and Kondapur Junctions, is completed.

The flyover, aimed at easing traffic congestion at Botanical Garden, Kothaguda and Kondapur and their vicinities, is 95 per cent completed and is likely to be finished by June 2023.

According to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials, besides solving traffic issues completely at the two busy junctions of Botanical Garden and Kothaguda, the project will solve the issues at Kondapur Junction by at least 65 per cent.

The multi-level flyover is being built by GHMC at an estimated cost of Rs 263.09 crore under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) Phase- 3.

One four-lane ramp that starts at Marriot/ SLN Terminus ends at Botanical Garden Junction and another two-lane ramp starts from near the parking area of Botanical Garden to end at the Botanical Garden Junction. From here, the five-lane uni-directional flyover traverses via AMB Cinemas and heads towards Kothaguda Junction, from where the flyover splits into two, each with three lanes.

One part of the flyover goes towards Kondapur Junction and ends at Raghavendra Colony C Block arch and the other part heads towards Hitec City and stops before Hitex near Prestige Ivy League, a housing society.

The uni-directional flyover facilitates traffic from Gachibowli and heading towards Kondapur, Allwyn Colony, Miyapur and other areas apart from the traffic coming from Gachibowli towards Hitec City and other areas. For commuters from Kondapur going to Gachibowli, a uni-directional three-lane underpass is being built near Kothaguda Junction.

The 470 m long, 11 m wide underpass starts near Harsha Toyota, Kondapur and runs up to Sarath City Capital Mall.
