Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen Business Manager/CEO Werner van Obberghen discusses the Bree-Eik organic hop farm in Lennik, where farmer Koen is growing several old Belgian hop varieties. These include Coigneau, which is a low bitterness and low alpha acid hop first named around 1900, which is ideal for lambic beers. The Bree-Eik hop farm covers about 2 hectares of land (5 acres) and is one of only two organic hop farms in Belgium.
