Kushina is a very special type of character in Storm Connections. On one side you can totally dominate your opponent with her solid neutral and on the other you can play very defensive. The defensive part is mainly possible because of her traps. In my opinion she might have one of the best traps in the game, since it doesn’t disappear as fast as some of the other ones. This can easily shift the momentum of the match on her side and lets her control the spacing between her and the enemy flawlessly.

Kushina has two primary jutsus in her arsenal. Her first jutsu is a rush attack that kind of acts the same as a regular Rasengan. It has armor on start-up, but you lack the ability to cancel it any point. The biggest downside about this jutsu is the fact that it has a pretty slow charge during its activation. Nevertheless, it is still a rush attack and it’s better to have one then to be without one.

Her second jutsu is a trap that she places down. Once your opponent triggers the trap a lot of kitchen accessories fall on top of their head. This causes them to be in a crumbling state on hit and you can easily continue a combo after or place another trap. It is such a great jutsu in her arsenal and with this you can pretty much force your opponent to move the way you want them to approach you. This allows for a lot of setplay and combo opportunities once they get hit.

Overall, this is the strongest version of Kushina yet and she really deserved these changes. Definitely check her out if you haven’t already!
