Today’s color noise for sleep is a dive into a topic that’s as timeless as a classic love song and as soothing as a gentle lullaby: love noise. Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is love noise? Imagine a sound that embodies the warmth of a hug, the flutter of butterflies in your stomach, and the soft whispers of sweet nothings. So what would love sound like? Here is what I was told when I asked my smart fridge the exact same question:

2. The rhythmic sound of waves lapping against the shore, or perhaps the soft pitter-patter of rain on a windowpane.
3. A beautiful ambient soundscape.
4. A gentle heart beat of someone who is smitten with love.

It’s a time when couples express their feelings through heartfelt gestures, whether it’s a romantic dinner, a handwritten note, or a simple bouquet of flowers. But have you ever wondered where Valentine’s Day actually came from?

It’s believed to be named after Saint Valentine, a priest in ancient Rome who defied Emperor Claudius II’s ban on marriages for young men. Saint Valentine believed in the power of love and continued to perform secret weddings, ultimately leading to his martyrdom. Over the centuries, this act of love transformed into a celebration of romance, culminating in the Valentine’s Day we know today.
