Today we're gonna be taking at look at the Tow Ready interchangeable hitch ball set. This hitch ball system is designed to accommodate towing multiple trailers with ease. It's gonna come with a 1 and 7/8th inch hitch ball, as well as 2 inch hitch ball. The unit allows you to change the hitch ball size in just a few seconds without needing any tools. It's gonna feature an innovative quick release system, that's gonna allow you to change the hitch ball quickly and easily. All you have to do is push this button down, rotate it, and that post is gonna come out. That's gonna be disengaged.

That way you can remove the hitch ball, grab the other one, place it on, then when you're ready to lock it into place, you push down and rotate it. Sometimes, it's gonna be easier to use a flat blade screwdriver, or I like to just use a coin. Push it down, rotate it, and that's gonna lock it into place. Real quick, I just want to go over how the unit works. Inside each hitch ball, you can see in there, there's gonna be a really small grove. When that grove goes over the top of the post here, you can see here that we have these steel ball bearings.

So as the locking pin goes down- so if this is on there, it has that groove in there- as this goes down, those push out, and then you rotate it to lock it into that position. Those are gonna engage inside that groove. Really nice design, very simple, and quick to use. Very easy to change the hitch balls. Again, push it on there, push it down, rotate it, and it's gonna be locked in place. The unit's made from a very nice steel construction.

It's gonna have a durable heat-treated shank area and platform. The hitch balls are steel, they have a chrome finish, which is gonna give it a really nice look, and it's gonna help prevent rust and corrosion. The hitch balls are designed to rotate, which is gonna eliminate coupler binding. Also, when it comes to installing this, you'll notice that on the sides of the platform are going to be wrench flats, so that way you can get a tool on there, makes it easier for the initial installation. The unit's also gonna come with detailed installation instructions, and inside those instructions are where you're gonna find the appropriate torque rating. It's gonna come with your split lock washer, and the nut to get it fully installed.

The unit's gonna have a capacity of 8,000 pounds when it comes to the gross towing weight. 800 pounds when it comes to the tongue weight. The diameter of the shank, this is gonna give us a diameter of 1 inch. The the shank length, from the bottom of the platform to the end of the threaded area, is about 2 and 3/8ths of an inch long.
