Inroads is a global network with a bold vision: a world where every woman, trans, and non-binary person can access abortion healthcare free from stigma and discrimination.

Why Centering Stigma Matters: Stigma lies at the root of the multiple barriers to accessing safe and quality abortion care. It perpetuates a culture of shame and isolation, which directly impacts mental health - and discourages healthcare professionals and institutions from providing this critical care.

By nurturing and resourcing movements that expand stigma-free access to abortion care, inroads has contributed to improving access to reproductive health in over 120 countries.

Over the past decade, we’ve connected and resourced more than 2,600 reproductive justice changemakers. Through our participatory grantmaking, we have invested over $1 million in flexible funding to over 160 local organizations improving abortion policies, narratives, and systems.

We are fostering a future where abortion is recognized as what it truly is: essential healthcare, a human right, social justice, a matter of dignity and autonomy, and a key part of our reproductive health and rights.
