Here is a quick view into what turned out to be a very successful first annual LMT Owners Experience. If you are not familiar with the OE, it's an event where LMT owners gather to for a unique shooting event and enjoy general camaraderie. We held the event this year at the Force Center with Tradecraft Range in Immokalee, FL. LMT put the attendees up in either condo or barracks style accommodations, where both provided an enjoyable stay.

The event involved many different shooting aspects that LMT users throughout the world employ when utilizing LMT Defense products. To start, shooters confirmed zeros and underwent some contact drills, reloads, positional shooting, engagements from cover, and shooting on the move. Later that day we transitioned environments into a real maximum security prison where the attendees teamed up to practice what they learned earlier that day and develop skills moving in close quarters engaging targets as a squad. We put the shooters through a walk and run phase to build their abilities and learn from mistakes. To wrap up Day 1, we went back to the flat range to engage targets with the help of night vision mounted helmets from our friends at Ops Core and TNVC. For most, this was their first experience shooting with IR lasers, using illumination, and engaging targets with their LMTs under the cover of darkness. From barricades, the shooters learned why the MRP rail system is a crucial tool to maximize proficiency when shooting with a weapon mounted laser. This was definitely a fun new experience for all and peaked many interests to world of night vision.

Day 2 got started with a target rich environment on the long range bay. Shooters could engage targets out past 1000yds from either a covered position with their long range guns, or from a 4 story tower with the LMT's MRGG-A 14.5" 6.5CM or the classic L129A1 DMR rifle. Once their thirst for long range was quenched, we lobbed some 40mm practice rounds down range before lunch. After lunch we gathered to shoot a variety of machine guns from the Spec War carbine and new 9mm SMG, to the full auto 6.5 Creedmoor. Afterwards we wrapped up with a closing ceremony where attendees were each given a pile of swag.

We had a great time and were very appreciative for all who were able to attend though there were some travel complications with winter storms. Though this wasn't a specific training event, EVERYONE learned something from the OE and left as a better shooter with their LMT firearms. Hope to see you out next year!
