June 21-23, 2024. My girlfriend, Nadia, is back in town from Colorado for the Summer. Her home is in San Diego and I am from Orange County, so on the weekends I drive down to spend time with her. Saturday morning we drove up to Carlsbad; that was our halfway meeting point when we first started dating so we have many fond memories there. I made this video as a recap of our weekend.

Filming on the Canon SD1000 has been very fun. It's the perfect camera for on the go and the footage has a nostalgic feel to it. It feels like a digital version of Super 8mm since it shoots at 15fps. It can also shoot at 30fps. This sequence is in 15fps and I added some noise/grain and minimal color grading to emulate that film look.
