We spent the day at the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma, WA, mostly planning to check out the model train displays — but we didn’t expect how much we’d actually love the entire experience!

From detailed model trains to technology throughout the years, to learning more about Washington’s history, this museum ended up being a really cozy and surprisingly fun way to spend the day. Sometimes the simplest plans turn into the best days.
