Placing a card would move the token to the stats tracker, and 3 would be full to fill the next. This would ensure the game would end in a timely manner. Of course, Vantage is so random that with high enough skill checks and few enough items, it can seal your fate regardless.

4:00 note that on a revival you can use boost tokens on your character!
