"Port Watch" is the story of a beautifully constructed New England cape-style home in Kennebunk, Maine. Sitting within a tiny cove and on a river, this lot is an incredible gem within the area.

There was an existing house on site, and per state law, new construction can only be 30% more "volume" as the existing house which limited the size and height of the house. The architect wanted to ensure that the street side of the house is in keeping with the scale of the existing houses in the neighborhood. In the back of the house, the corner was clipped to create this very dramatic view to river. The roofline also has some interesting architectural elements that are reflected on the interior ceilings.
