This video will help you learn the process for changing the circuit board in the Lite-On DVD drive of the XBox 360. Make sure you have the right replacement drive before you begin the repair. This repair is meant to replace the DVD hardware without having to flash the drive to work with the XBOX 360. DVD drives are paired with the board of the XBOX 360. If the keys for each component do not match, you normally get the screen that tells you to insert a DVD and the XBOX will not read games.

Other reasons for the XBOX not to read games are:
weak or failed laser
weak or failing motor that spins the DVD

This fix will also fix tray issues

NEVER, NEVER EVER work on the XBOX 360 while it is plugged into a power source. Do not turn on the XBOX without the DVD drive connected.

Things you will need for the drive repair (Not including cases disassembly):
Torx Screwdrivers
30 Watt Soldering Iron
#1 Phillips
Eyeglasses Screwdriver or a tiny Phillips for the screws holding the board down.
