Chapter 3: Five To Twelve

"Josh has recently been tormented by extreme intense daydreams. Little by little he realizes that the dark thoughts and destructive ways of thinking, which he himself knows only too well, are spreading all over the world. Horrible atrocities happen. Racial hatred and religious wars are getting out of control. Chaos and despair reign everywhere. And Josh is swept away again by this. Only a few days ago his inner life seemed to be in order again. But now darkness breaks out another time."

Jürgen Walzer from Kaiserslautern/Germany was the guitarist of the 1980s metal band „Superior“. Now he is back with the second part of his concept metal opera "Dispyria", in which he continues the story of his protagonist Josh Devon.

Jürgen, who has been musically active for decades, has played with „Superior“, his „Deep Purple“- tribute band "Black Night" and also at various all-star appearances as a supporting act for bands and artists such as Bon Jovi, Lita Ford, Craaft and DORO. In 2019 he delivered hot guitar duels with nobody else than Victor Smolski (RAGE, ALMANAC) during the all-star concert "Night of Guitars" .

With "Dispyria - The Journey to Aelyrea" Jürgen Walzer returns stylistically to his musical roots, which were mainly shaped by bands like Helloween, Queensryche, Savatage and Metallica as well as by the style of Superior in its era. The whole thing leads to a big mix of styles off the beaten tracks and to a much harder second version of his dark musical fantasy drama about the protagonist Josh Devon and his fight with the demoness Aelyrea, who finally shows her face in this second part and meets Josh in real life.
DISPYRIA's new concept album takes us to a real metal theatre. Within these 51 minutes the listener dives down into and accompanies Josh in eleven songs.

The Album was mixed and produced by Markus Teske at Bazement Studios who also produced and mixed Bands like Vanden Plas, U.D.O., Saga ad many more.
