Carnaval de Málaga 2023 - Costa del Sol, Spain immersive virtual carnival parade

Dating back as far as the 16th century, Carnival is one of Málaga city's biggest festivities, attracting more than 600,000 visitors with its elaborate parades, street food, concerts, dancing and drag queens.

At the end of the 18th century the first troupe appeared with songs satirising the god Bacchus and the coronation of the tenth king of Spain. The Carnival continued to thrive until it disappeared with the arrival of the dictatorship, only to be revived in 1979 after this period in Spain's history.

Today the Carnival in Malaga is one of the biggest winter festivals holding significant importance in the city's cultural calendar.
