You may be familiar with TELUS, one of the Big 3 Canadian National telecom companies. TELUS also has a digital consulting business named TELUS International. Telus International, is now a publicly traded company separate from Telus, the telecom company

Telus International stock started trading on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “TIXT,” and the proceeds will make it the largest initial public offering of a technology company in the history of the Toronto Stock Exchange

Telus International Stock rose more than 30% on its first morning of trading in Toronto, after Telus International priced the IPO at US$25 per share
TELUS International designs, builds and delivers next-generation digital solutions to enhance the customer experience (CX) for global and disruptive brands. The company’s services support the full lifecycle of its clients’ digital transformation journeys and enable them to more quickly embrace next-generation digital technologies to deliver better business outcomes

Telus International is looking to boost service offering, recently acquired Lionbridge AI, the data automation business which provides crowd-based training data to power machine learning capabilities. Ex. labeling text, images, videos and audio in more than 300 languages for social media, search, retail and mobile. Telus international stock forecast is very bright with future acquisitions

2 main opportunities for Telus International:
Digital Transformation of Customer Experience Systems (DX). Estimated this market was worth $147 billion in 2019. Expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21% to 2023

Digital Customer Experience Management (DCXM). Estimated global market for DCXM was worth $6 billion in 2018. This market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 20%-25% in 2021

Telus International does not have to rely on Telus to fuel and support growth. It can use free cash flow to fund everything from potential acquisitions to attracting and retaining talented staff

Telus International posted 17% revenue growth in the first 9 months of 2020, and plans to keep growing through acquisitions, new clients and deeper relationships with existing clients
Canada is not known for tech companies, there are many that have listed on the TSX and have found success:
• Shopify - IPO at $17 per share on May 21, 2015 and it’s up 4000%
• Telus –has been around since 1995 and is considered one of the strongest dividend players in the Canadian market
• Constellation software – IPO’d in May of 2006, started trading around $18 on opening day and now the price is over $1600
• CGI –trading in the late 90s and after 4 different stock splits, its now over $100
• Open Text – around since 98 and since then it has grown over 2000%
• Lightspeed POS – IOP’d in 2019 and was trading under $20 a share, and since then it has grown close to 400%
