This week's breed in focus is Australia's most popular working dog, the Australian Kelpie. Dog trainer and pet behaviourist Lara Shannon and Veterinarian Dr Melissa Meehan share all you need to know about this hard-working dog. Bred for herding, Kelpie's thrive when they're working on the land but they are also extremely loyal and devoted to their family. Lara explains that Kelpie's have extremely high energy levels so any owner must be highly committed to channeling their energy and desire to work into suitable activities. Expert advice is given as to which type of activities are particularly suitable for a Kelpie that is not currently a working dog.
