HR 1, also known as the For the People Act, strengthens our democracy and returns political power to the people.
We need a comprehensive package of democracy reforms:  
It should be easier, not harder, to vote. The For the People Act improves access to voting with reforms like Same Day Registration and Automatic Voter Registration.
More needs to be done to protect your right to vote. The For the People Act requires fair and independent redistricting, outlaws voter purging, and restores the Voting Rights Act.
The For the People Act improves transparency in campaign finance and strengthens government ethics enforcement.
