This means the most recent post appears at the top of the page. Typically, the blog will show the headline and first paragraph of the post, and users can click to read more. What is a blog post? Blog are essentially online articles—they integrate text, images, and other media and are usually no longer than 500 words.

Another chief difference between Web pages and blogs, Ryan says, is the ability to comment on a blog post. If you enable the comments section, readers can engage with your posts in a way that typical Web pages simply don’t allow.

Blogs are ideal for posting regular, timely content and engaging with your audience. Best of all, learning how to start a blog is actually easier than building a regular Web page.
