HOW TO MAKE MONEY IN A RECESSION GROWING CASSAVA | GALAMSEY ECONOMY

Описание к видео HOW TO MAKE MONEY IN A RECESSION GROWING CASSAVA | GALAMSEY ECONOMY

Healthcare, food, consumer staples, and basic transportation are examples of relatively inelastic industries that can perform well in recessions.

The economy has suffered significantly since early 2022, plunging the country into a full-blown economic recession. Inflation rose from 13.9% in January to 37.2% in September, and some analysts believe the actual level is more than twice the official rate – possibly as high as 98%.

Cassava is a staple in Ghana and it’s easy to produce. The yield from an acre of cassava ranges 4-8 MT, which translates into 1.5-4 metric tons of dried cassava chips and 1.2 -2.5 metric tons of cassava flour.

Which translates to 4000kg of dried cassava chips. If the number 5 sack weighs 100kg, then an acre can give 40bags of 100kg.

To make Ghc1,000,000 , you got to cultivate about 50 acres of cassava 🤔. This will give you 40x50= 2,000 bags of chips. All things being equal, if you should sell at Ghc 500 per bag….. you will be cashing out 1million cedis if prices remain same. But you will agree with me nothing in Ghana stays same for long. Every day prices.

To make this plan solid, we got to create room for unforeseen circumstances. It’s better to add additional acres like 5. #galamsey #cassavaroots #agriculture #Farming
