A Cuyahoga County Common Pleas judge has granted a prosecutor’s motion requiring Central Ohio Behavioral Health (COBH) to provide records documenting the administration of medications to De’Lawnte Hardy, 26, accused of killing Cleveland police officer Jamieson Ritter and his own grandmother, Beatrice Porter, last year.

The court’s order, issued Sept. 29, requires COBH to produce records showing:

All medications prescribed to Hardy, including dosage and frequency

The dates, times and doses of medications actually administered since April 1, 2025

Results of any blood tests or other tests measuring therapeutic levels of medications

A written statement if no such tests exist

All records are to be sent to the court for private review.

The order comes after Judge Ashley Kilbane extended the deadline for Hardy to be restored to competency by four months, citing a period between Dec. 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, when Hardy was not taking prescribed medications.

Under Ohio law, defendants facing serious charges like aggravated murder cannot be held for more than one year for competency restoration. Hardy’s original deadline would have been Oct. 22, 2025. Prosecutors previously argued that the months Hardy missed medications should not count toward this limit.
