Screw dislocation interactions with an SFT at temperature 400 K and in plane shear stress 80 MPa in Cu. The movie shows the full absorption of the SFT by the dislocation. The full absorption of the SFT is achieved through the thermally activated transformation of Lomer-Cottrel lock into Lomer dislocations. After absorption, almost all the vacancies in the SFT are transferred into Lomer dislocation, and the screw dislocation is subsequently trapped under these applied conditions.
